UNI LIFE

HOLLA!
Gosh totally didn't have a clue that its been two months since i updated my blog.
Anyways i've finally started school like after almost a year of not studying since internship started and my long 7 months break, its been a real long time away from school and now coming back to start a whole new phase of life ain't easy.
To be honest, it's tough, like real tough that i think i broke down so many times as compared to being in poly.
It's like uni seems to be sucking the life out of me, even when i started school on the first day. :/

My brain was literally drained by the end of lesson and i was figuring how am i gonna survive till the end of the trimester.
I remembered me and nicole making an appointment to talk to our professor regarding this and he said something about us still trying to settle down for school so he will give us a couple of weeks to get used to the pace of school and should it be that bad, to talk to him again.
And here i am into the first day of Week 5, four weeks just flew by and i'm still trying my best to cope with uni.

i guess it ain't easy to begin with uni, stepping into a whole new world.
Its so different compared to poly and i really missed those times studying TRM back in Ngee Ann. Those were the days, i would say carefree? :')
Initially i though exempting year 1 would give us a better timetable and i was full of hopes in getting that study-life balance where i would join a cca with my best friend and we will go for weekly trainings and also even commit some time to work during one of the weekends.

But look at where i am right now, it seems like none of these is even possible.
The thought of my long hours in school along with so many assignments and tests is overwhelming but at the end of the day, i will always tell myself to stand strong.
Because you chose this path, you chose to go to university and so you are gonna accomplish this milestone by yourself. Of course, i couldn't imagine going through this alone without the company of my friends. And i'm so damn thankful for the fate of my poly clique (except xuanny though i missed her insanely too). Its a blessing to be with my poly clique in the same class again, doing projects tgt. Somehow felt like e good old times in Ourspace and all. :D And that's one more motivation for me to pull up my socks and buck up on my studies.

The long break has made my brain pretty rusty and i honestly can't wait to get my brain cells working to its fullest potential. One important thing i realised while i started school is also i gotta cut down on my social dates too. Its pretty sad to not be able to make weekly plans and go out as often as the past few months, but its for the better.
Even i missed working right now. Donkey shift.
At times, i would often think to myself if i would be better off working instead of studying, but oh well guess fate brought me to SIT so i'm gonna do my best.
I really really really wanna study hard and do well for uni, but for now let's just get over this trimester.
Sigh, life's tough but i'm gonna be tougher. ;-)

& looking back at the past month though school was hell, i also did enjoyed myself thankfully.
Dinner dates with my bestie & good friends, paintball with Hydra 1, Halloween Horror Night etc. I still try my best to make a balance because i still need my social life.
And yeap, coincidentally today marked the second year since it ended. I really wonder how things would've been if it didn't ended but i hope that i have grown as a person.
I guess i started to see the importance of family and friends, that love can keep you blinded at times.
And i guess i'm starting to focus on my priorities to know what to fight for in life at this current stage.
I didn't regret it not even a single bit, maybe it just wasn't the right time too.
I hope you're doing well and it was nice to catch up even for a little bit that one time over the phone. :)

It's also been a year since i started internship and the memories stays.
Loved and missed those times.
If only i could rewind time back, but let's just live in the present.
I wouldn't say life's good now, but i'm learning to be good at it. ;)

Winter is on my head, but eternal spring is in my heart

Holy grail, can't believe its been more than a year and here I am...decided that it's finally the night that I will pretty much like to update my blog. Yes what a year it has been, wouldn't have expected that my life will be like this a year back. Despite saying this, me is contented. Sitting right here alone in an A/C room hearing to 2NE1 music after a good bath and dinner, spending some me-time (while e hubby go for an impromtu night to JB with his bros). Heh tgif! Loving such Friday night <3  Been learning to appreciate these rare moments of me-time, to make use of it in a way that will make me feel good after. Recently, I thought to myself that 'hey its time to start brushing up the self-growth part of me as well as feeding my own mind and soul' cuz lately that was the part of me that I felt neglected - I guess I do sometimes pin a lot of expectations on myself when it comes to my growth at my work - what do i learn from it (aka professional growth) that I so...

Courage over fear

What a crazy past three weeks it has been - rollarcoaster of emotions for me and I can't believe I survived it T.T From having my dad admitted to hospital in fear of an injury that was discovered to receiving a job opportunity and having to make a career decision in such a short span of time (while i'm on leave) to taking that brave step to inform my boss and ro on my intent to go for the interview to driving without JJ for the first time(s). A whirlpool of emotions, it feels overwhelming to be honest.  And I guess a lot of the emotions were more on the negative side - feeling fearful, anxious of the unknown, terrified maybe. And on the other hand, sense of relief and happiness when my dad was finally discharged because the doctors deem that it wasn't life-threathening and that he just had to attend further body check ups thereafter to receiving the full support and care from my boss and ro. I literally couldn't control my tears falling the moment my boss shared the pie...

Hello October!

A year and six months since the first CB started and look at where we are right now...still feeling pretty surreal that we're still in the midst of battling this pandemic or per say endemic to be?  I guess many of us wouldn't have imagined us to be battling this Covid-19 till today, and I'm just thankful that my loved ones are all safe and healthy <3  It's def been a difficult year for many (mostly in bad way i will say, minus the good part that we do get a decent amount of time to spend at home with your family as most people do wfh since last Apr 2020). But then again, I guess you can say I miss the liveliness of the neighbourhood, I miss the carefree times when we can indeed hang out as a group without worries (now I don't think I can forsee being maskless anytime soon even in the next year but I only wish for the easing of group gatherings because I sincerely miss family/relatives time and opportunities to hang out with your friends!) Covid-19 made me treasur...
