Hello 2014. ;)

Its 12:34 a.m.
Wow, this is my first post for 2014.
Can't believe it, my' blog's been here for 6 years already.
Still can remember the first time i created this blog and was so excited to start blogging.
Well, just look at my first post and you'll know why. ;)

Putting aside that, yes its the fourth day into the new year.
Honestly, it feels so surreal that it is already 2014. Somehow my mind is still in 2013 and when people asked me about certain things that happened last year, i will paused to think before figuring out that they're talking about the things that happened in 2013.
Yeap, was thankful that 2013 ended well, i meant on a good note.
Despite that many things changed and stuff, 31 dec 2013 was really great. :D
Thanks to my uncle, we managed to "stayed over" for the night at the chalet and just enjoyed ourselves bbqing and playing cards and catching up.
The best thing was its the four of us once again, the usual. :-)
It's been ages since i wanted time to the usual and here again, we have it.
Was so happy that night spending time with my close friends and family (L)
It was like at that instance, i just kept quiet and looked at them, honestly i just felt like crying because i'm so thankful that i've such a great bunch of friends. Its indescribable the friendship and i thank God for granting me that.
You know, true friends are hard to find and i already have them with me. ;)
That's why, at the point in time i thought to myself, what more can i ask for?
Though i have to admit i hasn't exactly gotten over him because of all the lingering feelings, but then seeing how we are right now, it makes me feel that having our friendship seems more worthwhile. Its like nothing can be compared to it.
Even though how badly i hoped we could still be tgt right now, but nonetheless being good friends was all i could ever ask for.
They say, "What's meant to be will eventually happen".
That is one of my fav quote because i do believe in fate.
Love Tarzan song lyrics.
"Trust your heart, let fate decide"

Whatever's gonna happen, let's just wait and see. Be it good or bad, i hope that the future me will be able to embrace it. Because good things fall apart so better things can come its way. ^^
This year, i believe its a time for everyone to move on.
Move on with your studies, friendships, relationships and life.
There's so much in life that we have not experienced and i really want to do that.
Maybe things may hurt you real bad along the way, but i believe its these challenges that make you stronger than you were yesterday.
I thank God for everything that i've gone through in 2013 and thank God i made it till today.
Though it wasn't my year in fact, but i was glad i made it through.
:)
Now my main resolution for 2014 is to be a happier me.
i want to do the things i love and i want to stay close to my friends and family.
i want to be a more confident lady.
i want to be able to live life freely and fully, with no regrets.
Single i may be, i hope that i'll take life as it is and just enjoy every moment.
The past weeks had been awesome and honestly, i just can't wait for a better year to start.

Winter is on my head, but eternal spring is in my heart

Holy grail, can't believe its been more than a year and here I am...decided that it's finally the night that I will pretty much like to update my blog. Yes what a year it has been, wouldn't have expected that my life will be like this a year back. Despite saying this, me is contented. Sitting right here alone in an A/C room hearing to 2NE1 music after a good bath and dinner, spending some me-time (while e hubby go for an impromtu night to JB with his bros). Heh tgif! Loving such Friday night <3  Been learning to appreciate these rare moments of me-time, to make use of it in a way that will make me feel good after. Recently, I thought to myself that 'hey its time to start brushing up the self-growth part of me as well as feeding my own mind and soul' cuz lately that was the part of me that I felt neglected - I guess I do sometimes pin a lot of expectations on myself when it comes to my growth at my work - what do i learn from it (aka professional growth) that I so...

Courage over fear

What a crazy past three weeks it has been - rollarcoaster of emotions for me and I can't believe I survived it T.T From having my dad admitted to hospital in fear of an injury that was discovered to receiving a job opportunity and having to make a career decision in such a short span of time (while i'm on leave) to taking that brave step to inform my boss and ro on my intent to go for the interview to driving without JJ for the first time(s). A whirlpool of emotions, it feels overwhelming to be honest.  And I guess a lot of the emotions were more on the negative side - feeling fearful, anxious of the unknown, terrified maybe. And on the other hand, sense of relief and happiness when my dad was finally discharged because the doctors deem that it wasn't life-threathening and that he just had to attend further body check ups thereafter to receiving the full support and care from my boss and ro. I literally couldn't control my tears falling the moment my boss shared the pie...

Hello October!

A year and six months since the first CB started and look at where we are right now...still feeling pretty surreal that we're still in the midst of battling this pandemic or per say endemic to be?  I guess many of us wouldn't have imagined us to be battling this Covid-19 till today, and I'm just thankful that my loved ones are all safe and healthy <3  It's def been a difficult year for many (mostly in bad way i will say, minus the good part that we do get a decent amount of time to spend at home with your family as most people do wfh since last Apr 2020). But then again, I guess you can say I miss the liveliness of the neighbourhood, I miss the carefree times when we can indeed hang out as a group without worries (now I don't think I can forsee being maskless anytime soon even in the next year but I only wish for the easing of group gatherings because I sincerely miss family/relatives time and opportunities to hang out with your friends!) Covid-19 made me treasur...
