Life's good.

Hello :>
Hehehe its pretty late now, well been quite awhile since i blogged.
School's started and yeap, things been very different from last semester or in fact, the past.
Now am getting really busy, though i have no idea why.
Hahah despite losing a boyfriend and gaining a new best friend and getting a new job, life's been good so far.
Today's one of the best in fact! ^^

Yeap yeap, today was one of the most anticipated days of this week because i was finally meeting up with the usual + dillon for STEAMBOAT DINNERRRRR! :D
Of course, i suggested that idea to be held at my very place.
Heheh idk why i love having gatherings at my house because i just like organising and catching up after a week's long of not meeting. Teehee it makes your week so much better when you hang out with these bunch of peeps! (L)
And yes first we had the food preparation which went pretty well thanks to Celia and Cody! Hahaha ya know i sucked at culinary workshops or anything to do with cooking, so yeap was pretty blur when it came to buying of groceries at NTUC. i think i haven't stepped in that place for months? Hahaha don't even know that the toilet was shifted inside till like a few days ago. Heh. And yes, totally sucked at knowing what to do when we had all the ingredients in our hands.
Had to worked with my girl to figure things out, see what we can chop and wash first. Good experience though it proved that i really gotta work much harder if i ever thought of becoming a housewife. :P
Cody joined us about 6 and heheh kindly volunteered to go his old house the mart to buy more food, definitely he would want to go since the good food havent been bought. ;)
So in e meantime, the girls did the setup.

About 6-7ish, we were nearly done and being famished, we just started the dinner without the rest. :D
Hahahah love the feeling when we have steamboat dinner, it just feels so nice to have a good dinner at home!
And as tk and dillon came, the house became noiser hahaha but it was good noise i guess.
Talked and disturbed each other during meal times and dinner was great!!
Talked into asking them to help me clear up too hahahah and many thanks to dillon for helping to wash the dishes! Teehee he's a potential houseman yeah. :>
Oh and last part to our dinner, we drank Baileys! Hahahaha its so funny because i insisted for a 'cheers' to our drink and after drinking, you could see Celia's face turning really red. HAHAH IT WAS SO FUNNYYYY. THANKFULLY SHE'S NOT HIGH, JUST RED IN THE FACE. :)
Wasn't even aware of it because i was talking to Cody in the room until she walked in and i got a shock of my life, wondering what happened to her. Hahahah epic shit. And yes, finally managed to talked to him though i wasn't able to give a very straight and serious face. Hahaha but it felt so much better saying out my thoughts to him because i really wanted him to understand how i felt and yeap, turns out we're just gonna be really fine, and be best friends of course. ;D

Cody left slightly earlier than the rest later on while the rest of us continued to watch Scream 4 till e end. Hahah though i was trying to interpret the meaning behind the show, i enjoyed it all. And about 12+, finally the show ended and the rest left.
:>

Hmm, coming to think of it, it's been a really good day.
idk how the rest might think, but to me it's great!
i love the company of them and at these times, i would always think to myself,
how did i make such good friends? ;)
Hahahah i guess i have to thank God for this, thank you for having them in my life.
Wouldn't have thought what my life would be without them, thanks for letting them be with me through my ups and downs and depsite the things that happened, the breakups, maybe it just meant that we'll build stronger friendships with one another.
Yeah, maybe this is just all part of God's plan.
And for that, i'm pretty thankful.
Let's just wait and see for the remaining good things in life to come.

Winter is on my head, but eternal spring is in my heart

Holy grail, can't believe its been more than a year and here I am...decided that it's finally the night that I will pretty much like to update my blog. Yes what a year it has been, wouldn't have expected that my life will be like this a year back. Despite saying this, me is contented. Sitting right here alone in an A/C room hearing to 2NE1 music after a good bath and dinner, spending some me-time (while e hubby go for an impromtu night to JB with his bros). Heh tgif! Loving such Friday night <3  Been learning to appreciate these rare moments of me-time, to make use of it in a way that will make me feel good after. Recently, I thought to myself that 'hey its time to start brushing up the self-growth part of me as well as feeding my own mind and soul' cuz lately that was the part of me that I felt neglected - I guess I do sometimes pin a lot of expectations on myself when it comes to my growth at my work - what do i learn from it (aka professional growth) that I so...

Courage over fear

What a crazy past three weeks it has been - rollarcoaster of emotions for me and I can't believe I survived it T.T From having my dad admitted to hospital in fear of an injury that was discovered to receiving a job opportunity and having to make a career decision in such a short span of time (while i'm on leave) to taking that brave step to inform my boss and ro on my intent to go for the interview to driving without JJ for the first time(s). A whirlpool of emotions, it feels overwhelming to be honest.  And I guess a lot of the emotions were more on the negative side - feeling fearful, anxious of the unknown, terrified maybe. And on the other hand, sense of relief and happiness when my dad was finally discharged because the doctors deem that it wasn't life-threathening and that he just had to attend further body check ups thereafter to receiving the full support and care from my boss and ro. I literally couldn't control my tears falling the moment my boss shared the pie...

Hello October!

A year and six months since the first CB started and look at where we are right now...still feeling pretty surreal that we're still in the midst of battling this pandemic or per say endemic to be?  I guess many of us wouldn't have imagined us to be battling this Covid-19 till today, and I'm just thankful that my loved ones are all safe and healthy <3  It's def been a difficult year for many (mostly in bad way i will say, minus the good part that we do get a decent amount of time to spend at home with your family as most people do wfh since last Apr 2020). But then again, I guess you can say I miss the liveliness of the neighbourhood, I miss the carefree times when we can indeed hang out as a group without worries (now I don't think I can forsee being maskless anytime soon even in the next year but I only wish for the easing of group gatherings because I sincerely miss family/relatives time and opportunities to hang out with your friends!) Covid-19 made me treasur...
