Life goes on, so why not just be happy?

Yes feeling those feels to finally sit down and write another post, after like 3 months heh.
You can say that much has happened definitely since my last post, so much has changed within that span of months - and never will I thought that 2020 will be a year like this.
I guess this entire Covid-19 situation and circuit breaker thingy has affected everyone so much that as much i just can't wait to go back to the "new normal life after circuit breaker", but I definitely do appreciate the days working from home as well.
It just made you have a different perception of work and life and the things that matter to you the most. Thinking back, it wasn't an easy past two months of work from home and i remembered breaking down several times cuz of the stress and overwhelming emotions built up from wanting to do my best at work (and not screwed up) while trying to prove that i deserve this job as well. It's indeed tough, tough for all out there doing your best to continue living. Hang in there everyone.
Tough times don't last, tough people do.

I used to think of the life after circuit breaker and how i just can't wait for all to go back to place just like how life was before this whole thing became a pandemic and everyone living in fears of what might just eat up the entire world - and now it seems like even if all the three phases has been implemented and we can all finally go back to work like usual - but life will still be different, someway or another. It'll be a new world that we'll all have to get used to living. And as much as i think about it, i just hope that it'll still be a hopeful and happier remaining months of 2020 and moving forward.

Late last month, heard of a shocking news as well that my closest colleague/partner-in-crime decided to tender her resignation and honestly, kinda broke down too. Because all these while, it's been so tough at work and we depended a lot on each other (or rather myself, have relied a lot on her to stay strong too) and the thought of her leaving at this very point in time just got me feeling a mixture of feelings - from sad to scared... its like i wonder how am i going to cope all these without her? And there's so much more to learn and i have not mastered it yet, and she's gonna leave rn, am i able to do it? Will i be able to be capable of doing all these by myself? Took me almost a week to calm and compose myself as i let it settle down and face the reality. Last Thursday, it was officially announced and somehow some part of me still felt like crying T.T but its alright, Adeline. You can do this! You can still be strong, even after she left. You just got to do it step by step, and believe that you can. You can and you will. Have faith ! Just constantly mentally telling me myself that every single day as I wake up, and last friday when my colleague called to talk and discussed about work - somehow it just felt good to do my work. I didn't felt that fear that i was alone and all, in fact it was more of a "i'm gonna miss her kind of feeling' and i was glad that i was feeling that way. I'm definitely gonna miss her and the times we worked together (1.3 years?) but then again, so thankful for this companion when i first started this job.

Right now, my focus is just to do my job well, ace at it and conquer my ACLP. Feb 2021 - wait for me. Until then, i'll be ready and come back stronger. You know there's a saying, it's always the comeback that's stronger. Just like how the world is preparing to come back stronger and i believe that until then, let's all take some time off to appreciate the little things we have - more quality time with family, exercising, doing things that we couldn't find time to do it previously and many more. :')

Lately, have been binge-watching lots of korean videos - mainly because i rewatched IKON what is next etc and it all started from there heh. Been starting to realise how charismatic B.I aka Kim Hanbin is and i outright admire his leadership and i have so much respect for him. It 's like his leadership style amazed me so much that it makes me wanna be like this when i have to lead a team eventually on my own. And i'm just glad that he's finally comeback to making music - been listening to his demo songs on repeat like idk how many times already. Thankful that at times like these, it makes you think back how the more you gotta hang on and push yourself harder when you think life is difficult and full of uncertainties. Always telling myself i wanna live a happier life, be a happier self, but like this quote said it - i think finding life worth living is much more meaningful.

Winter is on my head, but eternal spring is in my heart

Holy grail, can't believe its been more than a year and here I am...decided that it's finally the night that I will pretty much like to update my blog. Yes what a year it has been, wouldn't have expected that my life will be like this a year back. Despite saying this, me is contented. Sitting right here alone in an A/C room hearing to 2NE1 music after a good bath and dinner, spending some me-time (while e hubby go for an impromtu night to JB with his bros). Heh tgif! Loving such Friday night <3  Been learning to appreciate these rare moments of me-time, to make use of it in a way that will make me feel good after. Recently, I thought to myself that 'hey its time to start brushing up the self-growth part of me as well as feeding my own mind and soul' cuz lately that was the part of me that I felt neglected - I guess I do sometimes pin a lot of expectations on myself when it comes to my growth at my work - what do i learn from it (aka professional growth) that I so...

Courage over fear

What a crazy past three weeks it has been - rollarcoaster of emotions for me and I can't believe I survived it T.T From having my dad admitted to hospital in fear of an injury that was discovered to receiving a job opportunity and having to make a career decision in such a short span of time (while i'm on leave) to taking that brave step to inform my boss and ro on my intent to go for the interview to driving without JJ for the first time(s). A whirlpool of emotions, it feels overwhelming to be honest.  And I guess a lot of the emotions were more on the negative side - feeling fearful, anxious of the unknown, terrified maybe. And on the other hand, sense of relief and happiness when my dad was finally discharged because the doctors deem that it wasn't life-threathening and that he just had to attend further body check ups thereafter to receiving the full support and care from my boss and ro. I literally couldn't control my tears falling the moment my boss shared the pie...

Hello October!

A year and six months since the first CB started and look at where we are right now...still feeling pretty surreal that we're still in the midst of battling this pandemic or per say endemic to be?  I guess many of us wouldn't have imagined us to be battling this Covid-19 till today, and I'm just thankful that my loved ones are all safe and healthy <3  It's def been a difficult year for many (mostly in bad way i will say, minus the good part that we do get a decent amount of time to spend at home with your family as most people do wfh since last Apr 2020). But then again, I guess you can say I miss the liveliness of the neighbourhood, I miss the carefree times when we can indeed hang out as a group without worries (now I don't think I can forsee being maskless anytime soon even in the next year but I only wish for the easing of group gatherings because I sincerely miss family/relatives time and opportunities to hang out with your friends!) Covid-19 made me treasur...
