Excited for the future

Hello 2018.
Can't believe it's here, heh the year of the doggy. I loved it because it's my zodiac year too and as much as the feng shui always say that our luck ain't that good but i still believe that we'll still be a little luckier. :')
Well much good things has happened and it's been a great start to this year with a few happenings 👇

  1. Getting my part-time job (in a hotel) and it was a really good experience i would say? Finally know why my laughing buddy decided to convert full-time to work there because the people are really so naiseee. It's like they treat you like family and even though i was only there for close to two months, they treated me so well and i loved the culture. So glad to have met new faces and as much bittersweet feelings i had when i ended my last day of work on tuesday, i do hope i'll see them all someday again. :')
  2. Impromptu JB trip with bb & his friends (heh first trip in 2018) and it was great!!!
  3. My 23rd birthday!!! 😄 Celebrated it with Nat and finally went with this girl to GBTB, this place never fails to amaze me every time i'm there. And on this special day, i was given the opportunity to present on behalf of Kuan for the poster presentation! HEHEH honestly was taken aback but so proud i did it and even we didn't won, i felt like i already won! Its the experience i guess you can say it makes that day so much more memorable. Plus, celebrating my birthday with my baby for the second time and it's amazing to see how we're still so much in love. I really liked how we are right now and i just look forward to celebrating many birthdays tgt with this fav army boy of mine. (L) And this includes celebrating VDAY and CNY(for the first time) hehehe bringing my plus one for visiting. Def felt awkward and unsure what to do at times, but i'm so glad my relatives are so welcoming of him.
  4. I'VE OFFICIALLY GOTTEN A FULL TIME JOB F YEAH!!!!! 😁😁😁 omg no words can express my happiness when i received the call like legit just when i was imagining that she'll call while i was at work and she really did! and so after going down to review the contract and all, i decided to sign it. it was a really good opportunity for me and as much as i worry about what's gonna happen in the next two years or so, i promised myself that i'll do my very best. It does seem daunting esp when i know i'll have to go overseas by my own and work and all, but i know when the time comes, i'll have to be ready. And i can't believe i'm starting work so soon!! Like literally the following monday!!! But as what someone said, "to greater feats" i trust that all will be alright. I tell myself that i'm so gonna go in there and learn as much as i can and absorb it up like a sponge. Still can remember the words from my ex manager and i do hope i'll do them proud in the future. So thankful for the people i've met over the course of my career and i really want to take that leap of faith to be who i want to be. Just saw a quote from Disney which somehow resonates with me at this point in time: All your dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue them. And i guess at the end of the day, it isn't really just about your dream job, it's really about who you want to be. And for me, i guess i'm about to embark on a new journey of self-discovery of who and what do i want to be in 2 years, 5 years or even 10 years time. Much to ponder on but for now, i guess i'll just enjoy the remaining days of my freedom before i officially start working and never stop heh.
FEBRUARY GOALS + MINI LIFE UPDATE--REAL TALK | A Classy Fashionista // Dream Big | Work Hard | Make It Happen | Motivational Quote | Inspiring

Part of me feels eggcited to begin on this new journey, while a part of me feels afraid of changes, and another part of me feels thankful because i know i'm not alone in this and i have my loved ones with me.  And i remembered this quote i saw today at Batam while we're having our family lunch, it said "Life takes you to unexpected places. Love brings you home." And so as much as life is so full of possibilites, i thank God for love because it's the second closest thing to home. 💕

Winter is on my head, but eternal spring is in my heart

Holy grail, can't believe its been more than a year and here I am...decided that it's finally the night that I will pretty much like to update my blog. Yes what a year it has been, wouldn't have expected that my life will be like this a year back. Despite saying this, me is contented. Sitting right here alone in an A/C room hearing to 2NE1 music after a good bath and dinner, spending some me-time (while e hubby go for an impromtu night to JB with his bros). Heh tgif! Loving such Friday night <3  Been learning to appreciate these rare moments of me-time, to make use of it in a way that will make me feel good after. Recently, I thought to myself that 'hey its time to start brushing up the self-growth part of me as well as feeding my own mind and soul' cuz lately that was the part of me that I felt neglected - I guess I do sometimes pin a lot of expectations on myself when it comes to my growth at my work - what do i learn from it (aka professional growth) that I so...

Courage over fear

What a crazy past three weeks it has been - rollarcoaster of emotions for me and I can't believe I survived it T.T From having my dad admitted to hospital in fear of an injury that was discovered to receiving a job opportunity and having to make a career decision in such a short span of time (while i'm on leave) to taking that brave step to inform my boss and ro on my intent to go for the interview to driving without JJ for the first time(s). A whirlpool of emotions, it feels overwhelming to be honest.  And I guess a lot of the emotions were more on the negative side - feeling fearful, anxious of the unknown, terrified maybe. And on the other hand, sense of relief and happiness when my dad was finally discharged because the doctors deem that it wasn't life-threathening and that he just had to attend further body check ups thereafter to receiving the full support and care from my boss and ro. I literally couldn't control my tears falling the moment my boss shared the pie...

Hello October!

A year and six months since the first CB started and look at where we are right now...still feeling pretty surreal that we're still in the midst of battling this pandemic or per say endemic to be?  I guess many of us wouldn't have imagined us to be battling this Covid-19 till today, and I'm just thankful that my loved ones are all safe and healthy <3  It's def been a difficult year for many (mostly in bad way i will say, minus the good part that we do get a decent amount of time to spend at home with your family as most people do wfh since last Apr 2020). But then again, I guess you can say I miss the liveliness of the neighbourhood, I miss the carefree times when we can indeed hang out as a group without worries (now I don't think I can forsee being maskless anytime soon even in the next year but I only wish for the easing of group gatherings because I sincerely miss family/relatives time and opportunities to hang out with your friends!) Covid-19 made me treasur...
