It's May

Rare occasion for me to be sitting at home on a Saturday afternoon doing my own work.
Been trying hard to get myself up to do transcripts.
Honestly, interview transcripts ain't easy. Its rather tough to literally transcript every single word the person says and to make matters worse when the interviewee has an accent or speaks too quickly/muffled or even when you can hear the background noises (like people talking/coffee machine engines working) so loudly from the recording.
But i am just so thankful for the support I've received from my friends, colleagues and even managers as well as the industry partners out there. To those who are so fully in support of students' final year projects, thank you. Thank you so much.
Def ain't easy to entertain us students bugging them for interviews, but i'm really glad to have met really nice people who support students in the things we do. Believing in us and the projects we are handling. :-)
I remember how when i first started contacting people and i was like so afraid that they won't be bothered to reply me but hey, replies started coming in. And even for those busy ones, they requested for a questionnaire to be sent over. Though i haven't receive back replies/approvals, i'm still thankful and will still continue to place faith. I guess at times like these, you need to take a chill pill and have faith. Just a few days ago, felt super stressed out all of a sudden because of school work (esp capstone) that i kinda broke down. I mean i guess i was afraid time's ticking away and i do not have enough time to conduct my interviews and that my contacts ain't helping much either (with blueticking me) Sobs.
But just then, the person replied and i was like OMG, OMG YESSSSS!!!
I got to learn to understand that they are busy people at work and i guess since we need their favour, patience is a real damn virtue we need. Been trying to tame my instant need of gratification for replies and stuff lately.
And i guess one more important thing to note is that, be happy for other's success.
It may be tough when things ain't going smoothly for you and your friends are doing perfectly fine, but still celebrate for them. Celebrate their success with them.
Sometimes, i guess its hard being genuinely happy for others when you're like falling down into a pit hole. But then again, you reap what you sow.
So have faith in what you do, you will be fine.
Just happen to see this quote which makes so much sense, it says "Being happy for others may not come naturally for everyone. After all, we all have a competitive spirit. But when you find you’re able to feel happiness simply because others are happy, you gain a fresh perspective on life." :)
So yes still on the path to be a better person, learning to love myself more.
The best part i guess is when you know you still have lots to learn about life and the journey has yet to begin (sort of).
Recently, been catching up with some of my fav people and it feels so good to see them.
Felt like ages since we last sit down and catch up on life.
And i just feel like you know, so grateful for everything in life rn.
It may feel like summer to me and i know perhaps things will be tough in time to come, but am i ready to embrace it?
Talked about it to him and it always heartwarming to know that there's always that special someone staying by your side with you through your life. I mean changes are inevitable, but what's important is that you guys stay by each other side always.
Much late night thoughts lately too and i just wanna say enjoy every moment of life. Life's meant to have its ups and downs and all we can do is have a little faith that things will work out well if it doesn't and if it does, treasure those moments.
Looking forward to later meet up with my cute little buddy too, been almost a year? :')
Until then XOXO

Winter is on my head, but eternal spring is in my heart

Holy grail, can't believe its been more than a year and here I am...decided that it's finally the night that I will pretty much like to update my blog. Yes what a year it has been, wouldn't have expected that my life will be like this a year back. Despite saying this, me is contented. Sitting right here alone in an A/C room hearing to 2NE1 music after a good bath and dinner, spending some me-time (while e hubby go for an impromtu night to JB with his bros). Heh tgif! Loving such Friday night <3  Been learning to appreciate these rare moments of me-time, to make use of it in a way that will make me feel good after. Recently, I thought to myself that 'hey its time to start brushing up the self-growth part of me as well as feeding my own mind and soul' cuz lately that was the part of me that I felt neglected - I guess I do sometimes pin a lot of expectations on myself when it comes to my growth at my work - what do i learn from it (aka professional growth) that I so...

Courage over fear

What a crazy past three weeks it has been - rollarcoaster of emotions for me and I can't believe I survived it T.T From having my dad admitted to hospital in fear of an injury that was discovered to receiving a job opportunity and having to make a career decision in such a short span of time (while i'm on leave) to taking that brave step to inform my boss and ro on my intent to go for the interview to driving without JJ for the first time(s). A whirlpool of emotions, it feels overwhelming to be honest.  And I guess a lot of the emotions were more on the negative side - feeling fearful, anxious of the unknown, terrified maybe. And on the other hand, sense of relief and happiness when my dad was finally discharged because the doctors deem that it wasn't life-threathening and that he just had to attend further body check ups thereafter to receiving the full support and care from my boss and ro. I literally couldn't control my tears falling the moment my boss shared the pie...

Hello October!

A year and six months since the first CB started and look at where we are right now...still feeling pretty surreal that we're still in the midst of battling this pandemic or per say endemic to be?  I guess many of us wouldn't have imagined us to be battling this Covid-19 till today, and I'm just thankful that my loved ones are all safe and healthy <3  It's def been a difficult year for many (mostly in bad way i will say, minus the good part that we do get a decent amount of time to spend at home with your family as most people do wfh since last Apr 2020). But then again, I guess you can say I miss the liveliness of the neighbourhood, I miss the carefree times when we can indeed hang out as a group without worries (now I don't think I can forsee being maskless anytime soon even in the next year but I only wish for the easing of group gatherings because I sincerely miss family/relatives time and opportunities to hang out with your friends!) Covid-19 made me treasur...
