be strong, believe

Helloooo :)
Guess it's been awhile since i last sat at my table and decide to update my life here.
Much has happened and changed since a year ago or in fact a month ago, and i'm glad to have made it this far.
Thinking back, firstly i can't be more thankful to conquer the eight months of IWSP.
Suddenly, it didn't seem that long either but nonetheless, i'm so glad to have finished it and be back at school for the last year/two trimesters. I'M OFFICIALLY A YEAR 3. SOBS T.T #laojiaolo #idwtogradsosoon
Its like a couple of months ago when we just stepped into SIT and now, we're onto our final lap to graduation. Just can't believe we're graduating and leaving this school in like 7 months time? Sigh.
So much to do within that short period of time, so much more memories to capture before life as a student officially ends.
And that's why i constantly tell myself to enjoy now. Enjoy every moment.
Its like how we keep worrying about the future but in fact, we should just not think so much about anything and just focus on the present. Focus on living today. :)
And exactly a month ago, i've said yes to him at Stadium.
Heh the thought of it just brings back sweet memories and a tinge of happiness.
Grateful for how far we came since we knew each other and honestly when i first met you, i've no clue you will be so important to me today. How true indeed. Its funny how fate works and life turns out. I guess its the unpredictable that makes life so exciting yet interesting. But i guess i'm loving how fate has played our lives to this very date.
This relationship definitely felt very different.
I've no idea how to describe my feelings but one thing for sure, i feel safe with you. Always.
Somehow, you became that person i could rely on, that person who would still come back to me even after i've been much of a mess. Thank you.
Thank you for being the one by my side when i needed someone, when times were tough (like the dental surgery), when times were good and many more. You're a true great friend to have and i'm blessed by our friendship, but now i'm more than thankful to have you as my companion.
Okay companion sounds a little too serious hahaha, but yeah its what i truly feel about you in my life.
Sometimes i wonder to myself what i have done in my previous life to deserve such a guy like you. Its like you're so good and nice and kind and i just have so much to learn to be better than the person i am today. I know late night thoughts like these are bad, but its really good at helping you sort your thoughts when you needed to time check on yourself at certain stages of life. I kept asking myself if i am happy with you right now, and though i can't seem to say it out loud that i am, but deep down in my heart somehow lies the answer. Yes. Yes, absolute yes.
You are a different kind of happy for me.
A safe, warm kind of happy.
The kind of happy that will comfortingly assure you that things will be alright even if they arent and that life is always good with the right person by your side.
There's no longer that kind of fluttering of butterflies in your stomach like when you saw your first crush or like heartbeat beating so fast and all when i see you, but more of a hey, you're here with me again. And i guess i'm starting to like such form of happiness. :-)
P.S Thank you for everything, dear.

Winter is on my head, but eternal spring is in my heart

Holy grail, can't believe its been more than a year and here I am...decided that it's finally the night that I will pretty much like to update my blog. Yes what a year it has been, wouldn't have expected that my life will be like this a year back. Despite saying this, me is contented. Sitting right here alone in an A/C room hearing to 2NE1 music after a good bath and dinner, spending some me-time (while e hubby go for an impromtu night to JB with his bros). Heh tgif! Loving such Friday night <3  Been learning to appreciate these rare moments of me-time, to make use of it in a way that will make me feel good after. Recently, I thought to myself that 'hey its time to start brushing up the self-growth part of me as well as feeding my own mind and soul' cuz lately that was the part of me that I felt neglected - I guess I do sometimes pin a lot of expectations on myself when it comes to my growth at my work - what do i learn from it (aka professional growth) that I so...

Courage over fear

What a crazy past three weeks it has been - rollarcoaster of emotions for me and I can't believe I survived it T.T From having my dad admitted to hospital in fear of an injury that was discovered to receiving a job opportunity and having to make a career decision in such a short span of time (while i'm on leave) to taking that brave step to inform my boss and ro on my intent to go for the interview to driving without JJ for the first time(s). A whirlpool of emotions, it feels overwhelming to be honest.  And I guess a lot of the emotions were more on the negative side - feeling fearful, anxious of the unknown, terrified maybe. And on the other hand, sense of relief and happiness when my dad was finally discharged because the doctors deem that it wasn't life-threathening and that he just had to attend further body check ups thereafter to receiving the full support and care from my boss and ro. I literally couldn't control my tears falling the moment my boss shared the pie...

Hello October!

A year and six months since the first CB started and look at where we are right now...still feeling pretty surreal that we're still in the midst of battling this pandemic or per say endemic to be?  I guess many of us wouldn't have imagined us to be battling this Covid-19 till today, and I'm just thankful that my loved ones are all safe and healthy <3  It's def been a difficult year for many (mostly in bad way i will say, minus the good part that we do get a decent amount of time to spend at home with your family as most people do wfh since last Apr 2020). But then again, I guess you can say I miss the liveliness of the neighbourhood, I miss the carefree times when we can indeed hang out as a group without worries (now I don't think I can forsee being maskless anytime soon even in the next year but I only wish for the easing of group gatherings because I sincerely miss family/relatives time and opportunities to hang out with your friends!) Covid-19 made me treasur...
