Live life for the moment because everything else is uncertain

Its been another two months passed since i've last blogged and yeah the feels and time to blog has reduced much ever since i've started the second trimester and my work attachment.
Honestly time flies so quickly that its almost half a year already and in just a few days, it will be June.

Wow looking back, pretty much has happened ever since after the social night event.
April was more of a chionging assignments and project and of course, mugging for my exams!
This trimester was definitely better with one less module and relaxed timetable?
However, the motivation to study also went down and this could apparently be seen in my results.
I expected myself to do worst and yeah my results dipped but it felt weird because i was heaving a sigh of relief when i saw my results. Perhaps because i knew i wouldn't be able to do as well this tri and therefore, i was mentally prepared.

Nonetheless, i'm thankful for this trimester and one takeaway for me is that i'm gonna keep learning and not give up. Life is all about constant learning. And so, if i didn't make it this time round, i'm gonna persevere on. One should never be complacent too. I guess i enjoyed the fieldtrips and group project the most this trimester. :-) It felt gr8 going for site visits and our class bonded even more through these trips, especially our Kiotato Team. Hehehe its a blessing in disguise how we draw lots to decide our group and ended up becoming so close to them. #gratefulbeyondwords The late night group meetings in school, dinner takeaways from subway/cheers, project meetings at starbucks in town, lunch dates in orchard, expo food exhibition, karaoke session etc were some of the fond memories i had of last trimester. Hehehe enjoy those times a lot and thinking back, it would be nice to see everyone soon. And that is one main reason why i'm so looking forward to 7 June, can't w8 to head back for the workshop to see my classmates. Miss them so much. Esp my clique. Its been a real long time since we've all last met and i guess there's so much to catch up on and i'm so gonna spend that day well and i promised myself even if the next day i have morning shift, i'm definitely staying up till late if the rest are too.

So yes after exams was my Hong Kong trip with my family (L) Hehehe i was so eggcited for this trip because its gonna be the first family trip ever for 2016 and of course my first trip for the year. Well, many things happened on the trip and it was amazing to think of it right now and all that's happened the good and not so good. But at the end of the day, i'm feeling appeased that things worked out well and we all enjoyed ourselves after the 5D4N trip. ^^ It could have been better, but i believed that trip was pretty much a good one too. Perhaps, i'm not gonna go back HK in a long time maybe 2018? When the Avenue of Stars is fully opened and this time round, i'm so gonna drag my bff to go with me. Speaking Canto is a MUST in the land of dim sum + milk tea + egg tarts hahaha. Experienced it already so yes Cantonese is essential language skill for HK bound travellers. After my family trip, i made time to meet up with whoever's free because finally, there's time to catch up and it does feel great to see everyone and know how they're doing and all. And with the start of IWSP, people are getting busier and that's why i already set a list of things i wanna do and ppl i wanna meet. Hehehe now i'm just waiting for PAYDAY YAY so that i have monies to spend on more food dates + movies perhaps? Been craving to watch movies lately but now that i'm on afternoon shift, its a little tough to catch a movie heh.

On a side note, work has been good so far? Thankful for having kind mentors and today work felt gr8 though hehehe first time doing afternoon shift and getting the opportunity to see the night view of Singapore is awesome. Its so beautiful and i guess thats the perks of working afternoon shift and ending at 11pm. Recently, been going on for night runs too and i hope this will continue because the feeling of running is always so good and being fit and healthy is the best mentality ever. :D Oh and before i forgot, lately last friday i managed to catch up with two of my friends on an impromptu darts date and it felt so good seeing them (like finally). Always wanted to catch up with them but we didn't had any reasons to meet lately so i just let it be, though at the back of my mind, i was waiting for the day we will all meet. And when it actually happened, my heart felt so indescribably gooooood. There are some friendships that i'll treasured so much because of how they were there for me when i needed help the most and i'll never wanna lose this friendship or drift away from them. So yeap that night was awesome and i had so much fun hehehe playing darts is so much of a thrill!!! #awesometgif

And now its 27 May and in two days time, its my sister's birthday and i've not have a clue what to get for her yet hahaha well well need to start thinking. Everyone's growing up so fast and i just pray that we will all learn to treasure everyday. There's bound to be bad days, but i believe if you think positively and look on the bright side, there's always something good in every day. Look harder if you think you can't find it because it could be the smallest thing such as your family waiting for you to come home after a long day at work. ;) #letsdothis #8monthsworkattachment Besides that, one more day to my day off and im honestly looking forward to Sat dinner with the Quek Family. Belated Mother's Day Celebration yayz. This means quality time with the family and relatives and i love spending my weekends like these. Family mean so much to me ever since i've started my poly internship and i can't imagine days without them but for now, let's enjoy the moment. Goodnight world.

Winter is on my head, but eternal spring is in my heart

Holy grail, can't believe its been more than a year and here I am...decided that it's finally the night that I will pretty much like to update my blog. Yes what a year it has been, wouldn't have expected that my life will be like this a year back. Despite saying this, me is contented. Sitting right here alone in an A/C room hearing to 2NE1 music after a good bath and dinner, spending some me-time (while e hubby go for an impromtu night to JB with his bros). Heh tgif! Loving such Friday night <3  Been learning to appreciate these rare moments of me-time, to make use of it in a way that will make me feel good after. Recently, I thought to myself that 'hey its time to start brushing up the self-growth part of me as well as feeding my own mind and soul' cuz lately that was the part of me that I felt neglected - I guess I do sometimes pin a lot of expectations on myself when it comes to my growth at my work - what do i learn from it (aka professional growth) that I so...

Courage over fear

What a crazy past three weeks it has been - rollarcoaster of emotions for me and I can't believe I survived it T.T From having my dad admitted to hospital in fear of an injury that was discovered to receiving a job opportunity and having to make a career decision in such a short span of time (while i'm on leave) to taking that brave step to inform my boss and ro on my intent to go for the interview to driving without JJ for the first time(s). A whirlpool of emotions, it feels overwhelming to be honest.  And I guess a lot of the emotions were more on the negative side - feeling fearful, anxious of the unknown, terrified maybe. And on the other hand, sense of relief and happiness when my dad was finally discharged because the doctors deem that it wasn't life-threathening and that he just had to attend further body check ups thereafter to receiving the full support and care from my boss and ro. I literally couldn't control my tears falling the moment my boss shared the pie...

Hello October!

A year and six months since the first CB started and look at where we are right now...still feeling pretty surreal that we're still in the midst of battling this pandemic or per say endemic to be?  I guess many of us wouldn't have imagined us to be battling this Covid-19 till today, and I'm just thankful that my loved ones are all safe and healthy <3  It's def been a difficult year for many (mostly in bad way i will say, minus the good part that we do get a decent amount of time to spend at home with your family as most people do wfh since last Apr 2020). But then again, I guess you can say I miss the liveliness of the neighbourhood, I miss the carefree times when we can indeed hang out as a group without worries (now I don't think I can forsee being maskless anytime soon even in the next year but I only wish for the easing of group gatherings because I sincerely miss family/relatives time and opportunities to hang out with your friends!) Covid-19 made me treasur...
